Project Introduction
Bitlayer is a highly anticipated Bitcoin computation layer project aimed at providing secure and scalable computation capabilities for the Bitcoin network. In terms of funding background, Bitlayer successfully raised $5 million in a seed round led by Framework Ventures and ABCDE Capital, with support from a number of well-known institutions and Web3 entrepreneurs, including StarkWare, OKX Ventures, Alliance DAO, and others.
Bitlayer is also the first Bitcoin security-equivalent Layer 2 based on the BitVM paradigm. It employs layered virtual machine technology and zero-knowledge proof technology, supporting various types of computation while ensuring security equivalent to the Bitcoin first layer through innovative technologies such as optimistic validation mechanisms and dual-channel bi-directional asset locking bridges.
