In China, a young programmer made a radical decision to face the high cost of living: he converted his electric car into a micro-home. For more than three years, he has been sleeping, cooking, and working inside the vehicle, avoiding paying $350 in monthly rent.

Every Monday, he travels 130 km from Tianjin to Beijing, where he parks near his office. He showers in public gyms, uses restrooms in cafes, and cooks with a portable stove. He has even installed blackout curtains, a fan, and a microphone for karaoke.

His sacrifice allows him to save over $4,000 a year. His story has gone viral as a symbol of a generation that renounces comfort to survive in an unforgiving economy.
