The current ETH market is a typical "bullish control" trend: the daily line breaks through the upper Bollinger Band, MACD continues to expand, and ETF funds keep flowing in. All these signals point to "upward momentum is not weak." At this time, being trapped in a short position is like jumping down in an elevator that is going up - the more you struggle, the more you lose.
Don't fantasize about "waiting for a drop"; ETH recently rebounded quickly from 4000 to 3900, indicating that the bulls have a strong willingness to "take over". Forcing to hold positions may lead to liquidation.
If leverage is low, you can try "hedging and locking positions".
For example, if the short position is entered at 4100 USD, simultaneously open a long position of the same size (also at 4100 USD). This way, whether ETH rises or falls, the net value fluctuation will be smaller. When it retraces to 3900 USD (a key support level), close the long position while keeping the short position; if it breaks through 4200 USD (the previous high), close the short position while keeping the long position. This is equivalent to adding an "insurance plug" to the loss.

For example, if the short position is entered at 4000 USD and now rises to 4100 USD, if you judge that 4200 USD is a strong resistance level (such as historical highs, large whale selling pressure zones), you can add 30% to the short position near 4150 USD, reducing the average cost to 4075 USD. But this trick is only suitable for players with "low trial and error costs", and you must set a stop-loss level in advance (for example, 4200 USD), otherwise, it is easy to "add to a heavy position".
