Ripple vs. SEC: end of the dispute..
Ripple has finally managed to resolve its legal dispute with the SEC. The XRP community is already celebrating the event with a decent uptick to $3.3818. But how much upside potential does the cryptocurrency really have now, and how did the year-long odyssey that held back XRP come to an end?
The legal dispute between Ripple Labs and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is considered over, as both parties filed a joint motion to withdraw their respective appeals on August 7, 2025. This was announced by lawyer James K. Filan on Platform X, who stated: "The parties have filed a joint motion to withdraw the appeals. The case is closed."
This withdrawal of the appeals was submitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and ends both the SEC's appeal and Ripple's cross-appeal.
What happens if XRP grows 2% each month starting from September 2025? According to an analysis, XRP would close 2025 at $3.64, corresponding to an 8.3% increase. The price could rise to $4.61 in December 2026 and even reach $12.01 in December 2030.
