Who Owns The Most Bitcoin? Satoshi Nakamoto holds the largest stash of Bitcoin—estimated at around 1.1 million BTC. Satoshi not only created Bitcoin but also launched it by being the first miner to process blocks of transactions. It’s believed Satoshi mined over 22,000 blocks starting January 3rd, 2009, earning more than one million BTC in total block rewards. How Much Bitcoin Does Satoshi Have? In total, Satoshi is thought to control 1.1 million BTC, valued at roughly $127 billion as of August 2025. These coins aren’t in a single wallet but spread across about 22,000 different addresses. Apart from a few test spends, none have ever moved. Satoshi stepped away from the project in 2010 and hasn’t resurfaced since. Notable Individual Bitcoin Whales Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss – After a 2008 settlement with Mark Zuckerberg worth $65 million in shares and cash, the twins launched an angel investing firm. A few years later, they revealed buying roughly $11 million worth of Bitcoin at about $10 each. Estimated holdings: ~70,000 BTC. Tim Draper – The well-known VC made an early buy of 40,000 BTC on Mt. Gox, which was later lost in the infamous hack and collapse. In 2014, he purchased 29,656 BTC for $18.7 million, averaging $632 per coin. Michael Saylor – The MicroStrategy founder and chairman disclosed in October 2020 that he personally owned 17,732 BTC, and likely more since then, given his strong pro-Bitcoin stance. Institutional Giants MicroStrategy – 628,791 BTC BlackRock – 738,170 BTC Grayscale – 180,596 BTC 📌 Tip: Big holders aren’t letting go anytime soon. 📈 When the next bull run comes, these whales will make waves. 💬 Follow, like & share for more $BTC insights! #CryptoIn401k #ETHBreaks4000 #Notcoin👀🔥 #BuiltonSolayer #IPOWave
