The volatility of Bitcoin prices has fallen to the lowest level in over a year
According to news from Hash World, in July, the volatility of Bitcoin prices fell to the lowest level in over a year. Data shows that as of July 30, the 60-day annualized volatility of Bitcoin dropped to 28.53%, the lowest level since August 2023; while the 30-day annualized volatility fell to 25.26% on July 23, marking a new low since October 2023. Throughout the month, Bitcoin prices fluctuated between $105,000 and $122,750. Market analysis indicates that the decline in volatility is closely related to the progress of cryptocurrency regulation in the United States: the House of Representatives passed three cryptocurrency regulatory bills in July, one of which (the Stablecoin Innovation Act) has already been signed into law by the President; the SEC released new regulations regarding exchange-traded products and supported innovation in tokenization of securities. As the regulatory environment becomes clearer, market uncertainty has decreased.
