#USA 🇺🇸 - #INDE 🇮🇳 : TRUMP INCREASES TAXES ON INDIAN PRODUCTS DUE TO PURCHASING RUSSIAN OIL.
Donald Trump, the American President, has decided to make products from India more expensive. Why? Because India buys a lot of oil from Russia, and according to Trump, this helps Russia finance the war in Ukraine. He even accuses India of reselling some of this oil to make money, which would allow Russia to bypass economic sanctions. Trump says that the Indians "do not care about the number of people dying in Ukraine" because of this war.
Starting Thursday, the United States will increase taxes on several products coming from different countries, including India. For now, this tax is 25%, but Trump threatens to raise it even more if India continues to purchase Russian oil. India, on its part, defends itself by saying it needs this oil to ensure its energy supply and that it remains neutral in this conflict.
In response, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged his people to support products made in India, called "swadeshi." He wants Indians to buy locally to help farmers, small businesses, and create jobs. It’s a way to make India stronger and less dependent on other countries, especially with the current economic tensions.
