Well, as an old player, I've stepped into every pit; I've paid every tuition fee! Here, I'll share with everyone!
Back in the day, everyone thought they were the chosen one on that day. It was crazy, that’s for sure! Watching any coin surge, no fundamentals or technicals mattered! Just go all in! Feeling like wealth freedom was just around the corner, marrying a rich beauty, and reaching the peak of life! Doubling your money in a day was no big deal! The adrenaline rush was more thrilling than a roller coaster ride.
And what happened? Haha, a catastrophic loss of 90%. It’s not a scare tactic. Altcoins went to zero... Watching the numbers in my account drop, like a magic trick, each time less than the last. Really, at that moment, it wasn't just painful; it was numb! It felt like my heart was hollowed out, couldn't even eat. What chosen one? Just a pure leek-filled dumpling!
It was such a hard fall that it finally woke me up! Last year to this year, my investments in altcoins plummeted again. I directly saw my holdings cut in half by 50%. If I hadn’t cut my losses, I’d be six feet under by now!
Now, I cherish it more than anyone! Is it easy to make money? It’s all earned through blood and tears! So I’ve now adopted one strict principle:
The money earned must be kept safe! Don't get carried away! Just because you've made a little doesn't mean you're invincible, and you want to gamble big. Slow is fast! This phrase is now engraved on my mind! Steadily, step by step, controlling risk, preserving capital.
This thing called compounding, when viewed over a longer time, is a thousand times more reliable than dreaming of getting rich overnight! Don’t always think you can get fat in one bite; steady and gradual progress is the way to go.
Talking about this with my group buddies isn't to show off how miserable or awesome I am. I genuinely don’t want to see them walk the same painful path I did! I hope they can stand on the shoulders of this old leek and see further and do better. Pay less tuition, suffer less torment.
