♻️ Bitcoin saves the planet — not a slogan, but a reality.
Satellite data has shown: one landfill emits 1.535 tons of methane per hour — that’s over 1 million tons of CO₂ equivalent per year. Methane is a greenhouse gas 84 times more powerful than CO₂. It cannot be sold to the grid. But it can be turned into profit.
This is exactly what bitcoin mining does.
✳️ Such projects already exist. In the state of Utah (USA), a pilot facility with a capacity of 280 kW was launched at the Davis Landfill back in 2023.
It is completely autonomous, running on methane that was previously just burned into the atmosphere. Now the gas is captured, converted into electricity, and powers miners on site.
💥 This is next-generation climate technology.
Bitcoin allows:
— capturing and destroying thousands of pounds of methane per month
— generating profit, carbon credits, and investor interest
— developing infrastructure even in remote regions
If just 35 such projects are deployed, the bitcoin network could achieve a carbon-negative balance.
Bitcoin is not just numbers. It is a technology that turns dirty energy into value.
