The analytical company Arkham Intelligence announced that it has discovered the largest theft in history amounting to $BTC . According to experts, in 2020, the Chinese mining pool LuBian lost 127,426 BTC. At that time, their value was approximately $3.5 billion, and at the exchange rate at the time of preparation, the price of the assets exceeds $14.5 billion.

According to #Arkham , the attack occurred on December 28, 2020. The hacker withdrew over 90% of the pool's assets before #LuBian managed to transfer the remaining 11,886 BTC to backup wallets. Despite the scale of the event, information about the theft was not disclosed by either the pool or the perpetrators, and only now have the details come to light.

At that time, LuBian was among the top six largest Bitcoin mining pools. On its website, it called itself the "safest high-yield pool in the world." However, by February 2021, the project suddenly disappeared, which was then attributed to government intervention or a transition to a closed mode of operation.
