Payment giant #Visa added support for new stablecoins — PayPal USD (PYUSD) and Global Dollar (USDG), as well as two blockchains — Stellar and Avalanche.

As part of its partnership with Paxos, the company has provided technical integration for new assets pegged to the US dollar. In addition, Visa has integrated a euro-backed stablecoin for the first time — EURC from issuer Circle.

Thanks to the new integrations, Visa's pilot partners can make payments in both US dollar-backed stablecoins and EURC. This complements the company's existing infrastructure, which serves operations in more than 25 fiat currencies worldwide, according to a statement.

Overall, the Visa network now supports four stablecoins: $USDC , USDG, PYUSD, and EURC, as well as four blockchains — Ethereum $ETH , Solana $SOL , Avalanche, and Stellar.
