Pi Network has added a new feature to its wallet, allowing users to buy Pi directly using fiat currency. The function supports credit cards, debit cards, and mobile payment systems like Google Pay. Direct Fiat On-Ramps Arrive in Pi Wallet
A new “Buy” button has appeared for select Pi Wallet users, enabling Pi to be directly purchased using traditional payment methods. This feature was first noticed by Pi community leader Woody Lightyear, who posted about it on X. The function is not yet available to all users. Wallet activation through Banxa is required to use the service.

By bypassing crypto exchanges, the Pi Network aims to streamline the onboarding process. With the support of Banxa and Onramper, transactions are handled securely and remain compliant with financial regulations. Pi Network developers have positioned this step as part of their broader plan to make digital currency more accessible.
The company emphasized that easier entry for new users supports adoption. Users no longer need to navigate complicated crypto platforms. Instead, they can acquire Pi using familiar tools like credit cards or Google Pay. This improves convenience and supports the network’s goal of reaching mainstream users.
Integration with Mobile Payments and User Wallets
The update also includes compatibility with Apple Wallet for some users, further blending cryptocurrency with daily digital finance tools. This reflects Pi Network’s intent to integrate Web3 technology into standard financial systems. By linking with mobile wallets, users can manage their Pi holdings alongside traditional assets.
At press time, the current price of Pi (PI) stands at $0.4823, showing a 7.29% increase over the past 24 hours. The token briefly peaked above $0.52 before stabilizing. Market interest reflects the community’s response to the wallet upgrade.
