#SpaceX transferred 1308 $BTC after a three-year pause to a new address
Analysts at Arkham Intelligence reported that SpaceX moved 1308 BTC (equivalent to about $153 million at the current exchange rate) to a new cryptocurrency address — for the first time in three years of wallet inactivity.
It is worth noting that in 2021, Elon Musk himself confirmed that SpaceX owns bitcoins, but the details were kept secret. According to Arkham Intelligence, by 2023 the company had written off bitcoins worth $373 million, likely having partially sold the asset.
At the same time, in the first quarter of 2023, SpaceX made a profit of $55 million after a two-year period of losses, which may be partially related to cryptocurrency operations.
In March 2024, Arkham Intelligence added a monitoring function for the assets of companies #Tesla and SpaceX. The identified bitcoin wallets of these companies contain assets worth over $1.3 billion, making them among the largest corporate bitcoin holders at that time.
