The digital bill in the US, the GENIUS Act on stablecoins, will be voted on today.

It is worth noting that the law introduces the first federal framework for dollar-pegged stablecoins, granting the Treasury broad powers and creating opportunities for private companies to issue digital dollars. The bill aims to regulate the stablecoin market, which is about $238 billion in size.

The new law requires that all stablecoins be fully backed by liquid dollar assets; mandates that large issuers (with a capitalization of over $50 billion) undergo annual audits; prohibits giants like Meta and Amazon from issuing their own stablecoins without adhering to strict criteria regarding risks and privacy; and guarantees stablecoin owners 'superpriority' in the event of the issuer's bankruptcy.
