During a meeting in the Oval Office with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Trump issued his toughest ultimatum: "We are very, very unhappy with them. And we will impose very severe tariffs if we do not have an agreement in 50 days".
"Tariffs of around 100%, you know what that means," Trump added before changing the subject to discuss sending weapons to Ukraine. This is the FIRST TIME that Trump has threatened tariffs on Russia during his second term.
The announcement comes a day after Trump revealed a new agreement: the U.S. will sell Patriot missiles to European allies, who will then pass them on to Ukraine. "We are sending weapons to NATO, and NATO is paying for those weapons, 100%".
Trump said he is "disappointed with Russia" and promised an "important statement on Russia on Monday". The Kremlin unleashed deadly attacks on Kiev over the weekend, defying Trump's warnings.
🌍 Explosive context: Trump has already threatened 50% to Brazil, 50% to the EU (delayed until July 9), and an additional 10% to BRICS countries. Now Russia faces the most severe threat: 100% if there is no peace agreement in 50 days.
