That year, I inexplicably received 30 $EOS from a stranger
With nothing to do, I flipped through my old phone's photo album and saw these pictures!
It was October 25, 2018, on POB (a content platform that closed down in 2019 or 2020, in today's terms it's SocialFi), where an old brother asked:
"EOS has been mapped in the imtoken wallet, why can’t I extract it by entering the private key? Sending 30 EOS" (Image 1)
On this platform, answering questions or asking questions generally earns points for that platform, but clearly this question was real money. At that time, EOS was the darling of the sky, who didn't know EOS? So I took a try-and-see attitude, searched online a bit, found two solutions that seemed plausible (Image 2 and Image 3) and sent them over.
I didn't have much hope, but who knew that after half a day, one of the co-founders of POB (I still remember his name was Zhiming) contacted me and said that the old brother who asked the question wanted to transfer the promised 30 EOS to me, saying that my provided solution helped him recover his EOS.
Such a coincidence, I received a gift from a stranger under the guarantee of the platform's co-founder. As for when I sold it later and how much I sold it for, I can no longer remember.
Looking back at the time, the price of EOS was around $6, so that 30 $EOS would be about $200. It's not a lot of money, but the joy it brought me is deeply etched in my memory. This can be considered one of the earliest #freebies.
Looking back, 7 years have passed, sighing, many people have exited the circle, and many have come in, while I am still in the market, still a leek, I haven't become rich, nor have I gone to zero!
