The Ministry of Energy, together with the Federal Tax Service and the Ministry of Digital Development, has prepared a register of mining equipment aimed at combating gray miners. It includes hundreds of models of ASIC miners from major manufacturers such as Bitmain, MicroBT, Innosilicon, as well as information on mining algorithms. The register is intended for regulators to help identify and control illegal electricity consumers using equipment for cryptocurrency mining. Experts note that it will facilitate the work of inspectors and increase market transparency, especially in conditions where a significant part of mining remains in the shadows. Legal mining is actively developing in Russia, and the reporting system allows tracking the activities of miners, increasing trust and attracting investors. As part of the 'whitening' policy, the possibility of amnesty for those who imported equipment through shadow schemes is being discussed, which could contribute to the legalization of mining and further growth of the industry.
