The essence of left-side trading is: understanding fundamentals, de-leveraging, taking positions in batches, being able to manage capital well, and enduring being stuck for a long time. The capital requirements are generally higher than for right-side trading. If one can strictly implement stop-losses, it is still simpler and more direct than trend trading. The agony of left-side trading is no easier than the stop-losses in trend trading. Left-side trading can be even harder because it demands higher requirements for timing, capital management, and psychological resilience; for ordinary investors, it is advisable to start with right-side trading to accumulate experience and gradually try left-side strategies. If someone trades trends without loving stop-losses, and engages in left-side trading without understanding fundamentals and poor capital management, then it all relies on luck, and they could easily be cut down.
