I only trade three types of market conditions, and I won't touch anything else!
In my years of trading in the crypto space, my biggest gain is not how many techniques I've mastered, but the courage to eliminate those market conditions that I "don't understand."
Ultimately, trading is not about who analyzes more but about who can stick to trading only the parts they understand.
I personally only trade three types of market conditions, and I won't touch anything else.
The first type: Confirmation of a pullback after a trend breakout
After an upward movement, the price pulls back but does not break the core structure, with volume converging, pulling back close to previous highs or support, and then pulling up again.
Entering the market at this time is the safe zone after trend-following + confirmation.
What’s scary is that before you wait for confirmation, you can’t help but chase the rise.
The second type: False breakdown with increased volume at the lower edge of consolidation
During a sideways consolidation, if the support suddenly breaks down with increased volume, but then quickly pulls back, forming a false breakout.
I only follow up on breakouts after pullback confirmation, combined with volume-price divergence or unusual market movements.
Missing out is not scary; what’s scary is directly grabbing the knife thinking it’s the bottom.
The third type: Strong attack after a washout in the middle of a trend
The price has already made an upward move and starts to consolidate or pull back, during which there are multiple false signals for shorts, but the key support holds, and then it accelerates again.
I will add positions when the key support stabilizes + short-term breakout occurs.
I can accept being wrong; the key is that the position I add is "able to escape."
I don’t chase the top, don’t guess the bottom, and don’t chase after flying prices. I only trade data scenarios that have been verified in my system.
For any price movement beyond these three types of conditions, I will stay in cash or walk away.
Some people say that this way, I will miss many opportunities.
I do not deny it. But what I want is not to "trade more" but to "live longer."
Trading has never been about who can catch more but about who can lose a little less, make fewer mistakes, and go further.
