According to the Tokyo Stock Exchange's published data on individual stock transaction amounts for June, due to the continuous expansion of Bitcoin holdings, Metaplanet (3350.T) reached a transaction amount of 18.695 trillion yen in the TSE Standard Market, nearly doubling from 99.76 billion yen in May, and has consistently ranked first since November of last year.
In June, the second highest transaction amount was for Minmura Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (7014.T), amounting to 516 billion yen. Metaplanet gained market attention due to its Bitcoin investment strategy, with its stock price showing an upward trend in mid-June, and on July 7, it announced an additional purchase of Bitcoin, bringing the total purchase amount to 225.8 billion yen.
Its transaction amount has surpassed major stocks on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, such as Toyota Motor Corporation (16.445 trillion yen) and Sony Group (13.153 trillion yen), second only to the top of the main board, Advantest (48.519 trillion yen).
