PRICE ALERT!
Standard Chartered and Bitwise PROJECT Bitcoin at $200,000 by Year-End
Does INSTITUTIONALIZATION unleash the BIGGEST BTC RALLY?
The market of #bitcoin is preparing for a potential unprecedented surge in the second half of 2025, with Standard Chartered and Bitwise forecasting that #BTC could reach $200,000 by December 31. This conviction is based on a powerful convergence of factors that go beyond the usual halving cycles.
Geoffrey Kendrick, head of digital asset research, expects Bitcoin to reach $135,000 by September 30 and reiterates a target of $200,000 by December 31, nearly double the current spot price of $107,800.
Bitwise also shares the $200,000 prediction for BTC, citing catalysts such as institutional demand and regulatory changes surrounding stablecoins.
The main driver, Institutional and Corporate flows, analysts emphasize that it is not the cyclical narratives of halving, but corporate purchases and ETF inflows that are now setting the pace of Bitcoin's price.
Higher Purchase Projections:
In the second quarter of 2025, Spot ETFs and corporate treasury buyers acquired 245,000 BTC.
Kendrick predicts that this number will be surpassed in both the third and fourth quarters, driven by the continuity of passive allocations and an increasing number of public companies mimicking the leverage strategy of #strategy .
Growth of "No-Strategy" Buyers
Despite the slowdown in the buying pace of Strategy (MSTR), corporate treasury "no-strategy" purchases totaled approximately 56,000 BTC last quarter, a figure close to the 69,000 BTC accumulated by #MichaelSaylor in the same period, even though these new players own only one-fifth of the total stack of Strategy.
This suggests that new participants will offset any slowdown from MSTR.
