The Indian politician Pradeep Bhandari, current national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the ruling political party in India, stated in an article published by India Today that India should assess the evolution of position #Bitcoin in global finance.

Bhandari suggested that India could follow the model of Bhutan, as long as there is clear policy and regulation. Since 2021, Bhutan has used hydropower to mine bitcoin, accumulating a reserve valued at US$1.3 billion.
