The influential financial advisor Ric Edelman issued a call this week to maintain between 10% and 40% of an investor's portfolio in cryptocurrencies. Edelman, who heads the Digital Asset Financial Advisory Council, has been saying for some time that the traditional 60-40 portfolio of stocks and bonds is outdated because people live too long for it to work.
Edelman stated that cryptocurrencies like #Bitcoin , which have uncorrelated returns, also need to be considered more greatly in future portfolios, along with much larger stock holdings later in life.
