Beeple's DIFFUSE CONTROL debuts at The Shed.

Digital art pioneer Beeple held the debut of his 12-week interactive exhibition titled "DIFFUSE CONTROL" at The Shed, a contemporary art center in Hudson Yards, New York City, on June 27.

The highlight of the exhibition is a dynamic sculpture that can generate visual effects created by AI in real-time, allowing visitors to collaborate with the system to shape the output, thus establishing a dynamic feedback loop between human input and machine learning.

Throughout the exhibition, selected images from renowned and emerging curators will evolve through AI machines, giving the audience a chance to witness the co-creation of art and algorithms.

Beeple's real name is Mike Winkelmann, known for his $69 million NFT sales and daily digital art series "EVERYDAYS." He continues to lead the intersection of digital media, culture, and blockchain-based art.

With the rebound of crypto sports sponsorship, Ledger has signed a jersey deal with the Spurs.

Crypto wallet company Ledger has signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with the San Antonio Spurs, which will start from the 2025 NBA draft, featuring the Ledger brand logo on the team's jerseys.

The company stated that this collaboration will help expand its influence in the United States and France, where Spurs star Victor Wembanyama has a large fan base.

The signing of this sponsorship agreement comes as cryptocurrency companies are once again ramping up sports spending. A recent report from sports marketing firm SportQuake shows that sponsorship spending has sharply declined since 2022 due to the collapse of FTX, which disrupted many high-profile partnerships, but sponsorship spending has increased by 20% this season, while jersey branding currently accounts for 37% of all cryptocurrency sports collaborations.

NFT.NYC 2025 kicked off with billboard displays in Times Square.

As expected, NFT.NYC 2025 opened with digital art displayed on billboards in Times Square, showcasing community-created visuals, artists' masterpieces, and project promotions lighting up several large screens.

On June 25, thousands gathered early at the city's most famous screens to watch a loop of NFT artworks. This event has now become an annual highlight, marking the opening of the conference and kicking off a week of seminars, events, parties, and various activities that bring together artists, collectors, creators, founders, developers, and investors.

For many artists, seeing their work exhibited in such high-profile spaces remains an important milestone.

"I still remember the feeling of seeing my artwork for the first time in Times Square," AI collaborative artist Claire Silver wrote in a post about NFT.NYC 2021. "It was cold, and I couldn't feel it, watching the piece cycle back to me... I felt like I was floating."

Four years have passed, and these screens have not stopped, nor has the excitement of some of the earliest NFT fans.
