The Bitcoin and Ethereum reserves held by BlackRock currently, based on the latest available data.
Bitcoin Reserves (BTC)
BlackRock holds Bitcoin through their highly successful exchange-traded fund (ETF) product, the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT).
Based on the latest reported data (as of market close on June 24, 2025), IBIT holds approximately 636,000 to 674,000 BTC.
* Estimated Value: With the current price of Bitcoin, the total value of these reserves is estimated to exceed $71 billion.
* Status: This holding makes BlackRock, through its ETF products, one of the largest institutional holders of Bitcoin in the world. This amount continues to fluctuate daily depending on the inflow (purchases) or outflow (sales) of funds from investors in the ETF.
Ethereum Reserves (ETH)
BlackRock has also launched an ETF product for Ethereum, the iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA).
Based on the latest reported data (as of mid-June 2025), ETHA has successfully attracted significant inflows, reaching nearly $5 billion since its launch in 2025.
* Asset Amount: Although the exact amount in ETH coins fluctuates, the total assets under management approaching $5 billion indicates strong institutional confidence in Ethereum.
* Status: Similar to the Bitcoin ETF, the amount of Ethereum held by BlackRock through this ETHA product also changes daily according to trading activity by investors. BlackRock actively rotates capital between their Bitcoin and Ethereum products, depending on market demand.
