Israel recovers bodies of three captives from Gaza As we reported earlier, Israeli officials said bodies of three captives have been recovered in Gaza. The army said bodies of Ofra Keidar, Yonatan Samerano, and soldier Shay Levinson were recovered “in a special operation”, without providing more details. Around 50 captives are still believed to be in Gaza, with Israeli media reporting that less than half of them are believed to be alive. Hamas has repeatedly said it is ready to release all captives in exchange for a permanent end to the war, the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from the enclave and the release of all Palestinian from Israeli jails. However, PM Netanyahu has rejected the terms and continued his war on the Strip, which has killed about 56,000 Palestinians.
