AUDC Pty Ltd, the issuer of the Australian digital dollar (AUDD), is collaborating with #hedera to launch a stablecoin on the Hedera Network. The launch, supported by the Hedera Foundation, marks the first instance of direct issuance of a stablecoin in Australian dollars on Hedera using their Hedera Token Service (HTS). It is also the first commercial implementation of the Hedera Stablecoin Studio.
Thanks to this launch, AUDD can be sent, received, and stored using any digital wallet compatible with Hedera.
AUDD on Hedera offers a regulated and scalable option for institutions that need compatible and efficient solutions for digital currency. The support of Hedera's high transaction throughput, low energy consumption, and compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) allows it to meet operational and regulatory requirements for digital assets.
Integration with Hedera expands AUDD's presence across multiple blockchain networks, including Ethereum $ETH , Stellar, XRPL, Solana $SOL and XDC. This multi-chain approach supports broader functional compatibility and enables the use of AUDD in DeFi, cross-border payments, and trading applications.
