The race for altcoin ETFs is heating up every day
Cryptocurrency market analysts recently predicted that the likelihood of altcoin ETF approvals will increase significantly this year. According to experts from Bloomberg, the chances of spot ETFs being approved could reach 90% or more. The SEC is increasingly actively communicating with issuers, creating a positive and very optimistic signal for the development of this market.
Solana, XRP, and Litecoin dominate with a probability of 95%
Among the potential altcoins, Solana, XRP, and Litecoin are leading with an ETF approval probability of 95%. Other altcoins such as Cardano, Dogecoin, Polkadot, Avalanche, and HBAR maintain expectations of around 90%. However, SUI remains low at 60% due to uncertainties about regulations and a lack of futures market.
These predictions reflect the growing confidence of ETF experts, after the SEC acknowledged many new registration filings and requested updates to S-1. Market bettors anticipate the approval likelihood of the XRP ETF to be 98% this year, followed by Solana at 91% and Dogecoin at 71%.
Approvals are inevitable!
Analyst Seyffart commented that the issue is now 'when,' not 'if.' The exact timing of when these ETFs may be announced remains unclear, possibly within the next month or two, or at the latest in October. Recent moves by the SEC show a clearer trend of support for cryptocurrencies, while asset managers are racing to achieve goals similar to the success of the Bitcoin spot ETF.
Geraci predicts that 2025 will be the breakout year for cryptocurrency ETFs
Mr. Nate Geraci, President of ETF Store, predicts that it is highly likely that cryptocurrency spot ETFs will be approved in 2025, including ETH staking products, as well as digital creation activities in the fund's treasury. He also expects BlackRock to join the game with ETFs based on Solana and XRP.
The SEC has quietly expanded the possibilities for altcoin ETFs by approving the Nasdaq Crypto US Settlement Price Index, which includes SOL, ADA, XLM, and XRP, paving the way for altcoin ETF approvals in the coming months. This opens up significant opportunities for investors looking to access this potential cryptocurrency market in the near future.
