Telegram founder Pavel Durov, who is under judicial supervision in France, has been allowed to temporarily leave the country. According to French media, the Paris Court of Appeal has decided that from July 10, 2025, Durov will be able to travel to Dubai for a maximum of 14 consecutive days. This decision represents a partial easing of the restrictions imposed after his arrest in August 2024. The messenger creator must notify the investigator in advance about his trips and will also return his passport, although other conditions, including a bail of 5 million euros, remain in force.

The permit is related to personal circumstances: Durov plans to visit his teenage son, who studies at a boarding school in Dubai and recently suffered an injury. Previously, in March 2025, he was already granted a short-term exit to the UAE. Despite this, the criminal case against him, related to charges of facilitating organized crime due to insufficient moderation of Telegram, remains open. Durov claims that he has not received any official requests from the French authorities.

This decision has sparked discussions in the crypto community, as Telegram is actively used for cryptocurrency trading. Experts suggest that the situation may affect trust in the platform. Stay tuned for updates!
