In a recent interview on fiat money, Salinas suggested that bitcoin's market capitalization could soon equal that of gold, which currently has a capitalization of about $22 trillion. According to the billionaire, bitcoin has a huge potential for growth, and from its current $105,000 mark, it has the potential to grow at least eight times to equal gold's performance. At the time, bitcoin's exchange rate reached about $1.1 million per coin.
