I am 35 years old this year. I entered the cryptocurrency world in 2019 with a borrowed principal of 60,000. By last year, my assets had exceeded eight figures!
Having been in the cryptocurrency space for ten years and trading professionally for six years, which is over 3100 days. I have engaged in long-term, short-term, ultra-short, and swing trading; I have tried almost every type of method. I have a considerable say on this issue. I have always said that mastering a skill requires the 10,000-hour rule. With eight hours a day and over 200 days a year for reviewing trades, it takes about five years. This is just the foundation for stable profits. There will definitely be big pitfalls within ten years, so to be safe, do not place your principal beyond your own capabilities in the next ten years. Many experts who have traded from tens of thousands to hundreds of millions only did so by opening large contracts, and many of them perished in a bear market; you just don't know about it. Human nature often leads to a loss of correct judgment in the face of major trends.
Returning to the main topic, I would like to share with you all:
In trading in the cryptocurrency space, it is difficult to change others, and it is also difficult to change oneself; however, only by changing oneself can there be hope! It is hard to change others, and hard to change oneself; but only by changing oneself can there be hope. The financial market never considers 'what if', only the results! If we cannot achieve results in cryptocurrency trading, we must have done something wrong; if we can consistently achieve results, we have certainly done something right, and that's all there is to it. Our way of thinking influences our behavior every day, and our daily behavior leads to the final results. Losing money is not scary; what is scary is to identify the real cause of the loss, resolve to change immediately, which can help us turn losses into profits. We must not ignore problems, evade problems, or avoid facing problems; that is the most terrifying part. Everything has cause and effect; sow good causes, reap good results; sow bad causes, reap bad results. Our current situation is entirely derived from every decision we made previously. Whether the results are good or bad, we must bear them; in the adult world, once we choose, even if it is wrong, we must walk through it on our knees. When it comes to the final results corresponding to each person, we must be able to accept and face them calmly. In the adult world, we must not pretend that the process is hard, as the final results will not act in our play. We should regularly learn to reflect and summarize; continue to improve on the good, and change the bad immediately. Given time, we will all become better. Trading in cryptocurrency is the same; we must eliminate lucky thinking, give up the desire for quick riches or speculation, and avoid every transaction that is beyond our capability and understanding. Before each trade, ask yourself sincerely whether you have understood it, whether you have a solid basis for your trading decision, whether you have prepared a strategy, established a risk control system, and whether you can accept failure, etc.! Truly clarifying your own abilities is an essential quality for us as qualified investors. As long as you want to change, any time is just right!
The essence of trading is: cut losses when wrong, hold on when right.
