Does trading really depend on luck?

I cannot deny that making a profit in trading does rely on some luck, but it's not entirely so.

No one can control when the market will be volatile, when it will trend, or when there will be false breakouts; this part is like 'luck', you can only accept it.

But the core of trading has never been about 'controlling the market', but rather controlling your own reactions in front of the market. Can you only engage in advantageous trades? Can you avoid opportunities you shouldn’t take? Can you incur small losses when you’re wrong and hold on when you’re right? This is the key to determining whether you can achieve long-term profitability.

Truly stable traders do not rely on guessing the market or betting on trends, but rather on systems, discipline, and execution. Their mindset is not 'Can I make money today?', but rather 'Is this market something I should participate in?'.

So trading is not about depending on luck; while you cannot control whether luck provides you with sustenance, how you eat, and how much you consume is entirely up to you.

Therefore, those who truly know how to trade, even in a less favorable market, will not starve, and when the market is good, they will eat more steadily. #美联储FOMC会议
