On June 14, Vietnam passed the "Digital Technology Industry Law," officially recognizing digital and cryptocurrency assets, laying a legal foundation for cryptocurrency regulation and development. This law will take effect in 2026, categorizing digital assets into "virtual assets" and "cryptocurrency assets," and will enhance anti-money laundering and cybersecurity regulations, aiming to improve its international reputation in the FATF.
