Here’s how it started:
April 8, 2024 – Metaplanet announced it would stop focusing on hotels and start buying Bitcoin as its main business plan.
They planned to spend ¥1 billion (around $6.5 million) to begin.
April 23, 2024 – They bought their first Bitcoin:

People are now calling Metaplanet “Asia’s MicroStrategy” – a reference to the famous US firm that also holds massive Bitcoin.
