Last night, the flash crash of $zkj and $koge caused some in the group to go long while others went short. Some made profits, while others learned lessons, so it wasn't entirely a wasted effort.
In reality, this wave didn't have much impact on most studios. They mostly operate during the day, and funds are like a train; if one has issues, the others will stop as well. The ones really hurt might still be the ordinary retail investors.
So, after this, will alpha still be brushed?
I think if most people really stop brushing, it might be an entry opportunity. However, it's important to note that:
1. Now that alpha can't be brushed anymore, it's not advisable to brush into coins that everyone is recommending. When a coin has large liquidity, it can easily lead to problems. I used to dabble in each one, but in the end, I also got trapped.
2. If you don't understand DeFi or impermanent loss, I don't recommend forming LPs unless you are a professional with your own hedging strategy, but many coins now also don't have contracts.
3. I will still use my genuine intention to buy this coin for trades, buying low and selling high. If I'm trapped, I'll just let it be.
