#CZrichestManOfChina Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder of Binance, has officially become the richest person in China with a net worth estimated at $61.3 billion. His wealth surged following Binance's rebound and stake in multiple global ETFs.

Despite stepping down as CEO last year, CZ retains large equity holdings and advisory roles. Forbes China updated its billionaire index late Tuesday.

CZ now surpasses Zhong Shanshan, the bottled water magnate, for the top spot.
