CIA Uncovers Facts That Bitcoin Is Also Actively Utilized by Intelligence

CIA Deputy Director Michael Ellis revealed that Bitcoin (BTC) is now actively being used in various intelligence operations by his agency. In fact, Ellis emphasized that the CIA's involvement with Bitcoin has reached national interest issues.

It is known that the US intelligence agency has been collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to explore the Bitcoin ecosystem to become an important data source in counter-intelligence activities.

"There is tremendous potential for law enforcement and the intelligence community to be able to use it," said Ellis in a podcast with investor and market analyst Anthony Pompliano last May.

On the other hand, Ellis believes that the increasing number of major institutions beginning to adopt this technology will make Bitcoin more prominent. He described this trend as a positive development that has received full support from the current government.

“Bitcoin will continue to exist, as will other crypto assets. I think it's a good trend,” added Ellis.

Furthermore, Ellis stated that the adoption of Bitcoin by several countries is also part of a geopolitical strategy.

Although many consider government involvement as a deviation from the initial values of Bitcoin that uphold freedom and privacy, Ellis sees it as a form of maturity for this asset.
