Features | This Man Regrets Selling 1,700 BTC, Now Worth Rp3 Trillion
An early Bitcoin user Greg Schoen admitted to having owned 1,700 Bitcoin (BTC) when the price was still US$0.06. He then sold them at US$0.30 and regretted it when the price of Bitcoin rose to US$8.
“If only I had kept 1,700 BTC when it was worth US$0.06, instead of selling at US$0.30, today it would be worth US$8,” Schoen stated in a post on X in May 2011.
Interestingly, if Schoen had still kept his Bitcoins, his wealth could now reach US$180 million or Rp3 trillion at an average price of US$106,000 per Bitcoin. However, he also confirmed that he still owns some Bitcoin and Ethereum (ETH) through a post in 2017.
“I know the current price of Bitcoin, no need to be reminded. I still have some Bitcoin, but far from the amount I used to have. I also bought Ethereum and Verge (XVG) early, just regret not buying more,” he said.
