# **This Company Becomes the Largest Holder of Ether After Acquiring US$463 Million in Tokens**

SharpLink Gaming, a digital-based technology company, has just acquired 176,270 Ethereum (ETH) worth approximately US$463 million or equivalent to Rp7.5 trillion. With this move, SharpLink officially becomes a public company with the largest ETH holdings globally, only behind the Ethereum Foundation.

SharpLink's CEO Rob Phythian is the key figure behind this significant decision. He stated that Ethereum is believed to be a major pillar in the future digital economy infrastructure, and therefore it has been made the company's primary reserve asset.

Interestingly, more than 95% of SharpLink's ETH has been staked, meaning they are not only holding the asset but also contributing to strengthening the security of the Ethereum network while earning yields. This strategy showcases a new approach to managing cash for public companies, similar to Strategy's move towards Bitcoin (BTC).

โ€œThis is an important milestone for SharpLink and the broader adoption of digital assets. We believe Ethereum will be the backbone of digital trading and decentralized applications in the future,โ€ said Phythian in an official statement.
