The publication writes that Trump's aides convinced him to focus on promoting the budget spending bill instead of focusing on the personal conflict. On Truth Social, Trump noted that he is not offended by Musk, but added that he could have expressed his objections earlier.
Earlier, in a comment to the newspaper, Trump emphasized that in his relationship with Musk "everything is fine and could not be better."
At the same time, The New York Times reports that the White House is preparing for a possible "prolonged war" with the businessman, and Trump's team is considering a scenario of open confrontation, in which both the allies of the U.S. president and Musk will have to choose sides.
