According to S&P Global, the capitalization of the American stock market decreased by 0.2% from December 2024 to May 2025 under pressure from economic uncertainty, trade tensions, and the decline of major technology companies' stocks.

Stock markets in other countries around the world increased by 8.5%, led by:

• Spain (+35.1%),

• Germany (+25.3%),

• Italy (+24.2%),

• Mexico (+21.5%),

• Brazil (+20.3%),

• South Korea (+19.7%)

• and the EU as a whole (+19.2%).
