PANews June 5th news, according to SeeNews reports, Romania's state-owned postal company Posta Romana announced a collaboration with the local trading platform Bitcoin Romania to deploy cryptocurrency terminals at post offices. The first terminal has been activated at the Turcea No. 1 post office, supporting cash deposits to platform accounts, with subsequent installations planned for post offices in Alexandria, Piatra-Neamț, and two other towns. The operating company BTR Exchange was established in 2014 and supports trading of 30 types of cryptocurrencies, with a net profit of 2.7 million lei (approximately 530,000 euros) in 2024. The postal department stated that this initiative will enhance digital financial inclusion.
