THE PROGRESS PACE

🏇LOCHLAN HANOVER

The Progress Pace is held annually at Dover Downs, and has become a significant fixture in the Grand Circuit, attracting top 3-year-old pacers from across North America .

The Progress Pace typically begins with a single $35,000 elimination race, where the top finishers secure spots in the final. The final race often boasts a purse exceeding $250,000, attracting elite horses and drivers. The race was established in 1996 and during that time in 2015 had its name changed to the Hap Hansen Progress Pace.

Last years winner Captain Albano was retired after the race to stud. It was a fitting end to a short but illustrious career that saw the colt earn over $1.5m in career earnings.

Our horse, Lochlan Hanover has been nominated for the Hap Hansen Progress Pace.
