🚀Metaplanet – the company dubbed as the “MicroStrategy of Japan” – announced that it has purchased an additional 1,088 BTC at an average price of 108,072 USD/BTC, worth over 117.5 million USD.
Metaplanet's total Bitcoin assets currently stand at 8,888 BTC, equivalent to 851 million USD, achieving 88% of the target of 10,000 BTC by 2025 in just 6 months. This marks the 13th consecutive week of BTC purchases since March.
The Bitcoin investment strategy has helped the company set a record for Q1 2025 revenue, with 88% of revenue coming from BTC options fees. Metaplanet's stock price has also surged, exceeding 1,200 USD, the highest level since 2013.
