Cork Protocol, a decentralized DeFi platform, was exploited. The attacker took advantage of a vulnerability in the smart contracts and stole approximately $12 million in Wrapped Staked Ether (around 3,761 wstETH), instantly converting them to ETH.
The incident was recorded by Cyver, after which the Cork Protocol team immediately suspended all smart contracts for investigation.
