The Government of Pakistan has announced the creation of a strategic Bitcoin reserve, inspired by the steps taken by the USA. This was reported by the head of the National Crypto Council Bilal bin Sakhb at the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas.
The reserve will become a state asset, which fundamentally changes the previous course of the authorities. Previously, local regulators considered cryptocurrencies to be illegal. The country's authorities made this decision against the backdrop of the entry of the founder of the largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Changpeng Zhao, into the group of advisors on digitalization.
