Solana meme coin $LABUBU skyrockets to $49 million after Labubu doll sales halted
A meme coin based on the Labubu doll has surged over 5,900% in just two weeks, reaching a market capitalization of over $49 million, after retailer Pop Mart temporarily halted sales of the toy line due to safety concerns.
The 73792867220 – half rabbit, half monster doll, packaged as a surprise box (blind box), became a fashion phenomenon thanks to celebrities like Rihanna. However, the shopping frenzy forced Pop Mart to stop sales due to numerous altercations, overnight camping, and crowding incidents at stores in the UK.
In the context of the dolls no longer being on the shelves, many fans have turned to collect the $LABUBU coin, despite it being an unofficial meme coin, launched in October 2024 through the Pump.fun platform. Previously, the token had at one point dropped below $1 million in market cap, but has now reached a peak and adjusted slightly to around $41.55 million.
Risk Warning: Meme coins are often highly volatile and lack clear intrinsic value. Investing in such assets carries high risks and may not be suitable for all investors. Please consider carefully before participating. #anhbacong
