On-chain monitoring has discovered that the hacker of the Cetus project has staged a real-life version of 'Crazy Shopping.' Shortly after transferring 57.66 million USDC (equivalent to 57.66 million dollars!) to the Ethereum mainnet, they directly spent money to buy 22,114 ETH!
How aggressive was this move? Calculating, the hacker's average purchase price for ETH is 2,652 dollars each, and now their Ethereum wallet holds assets worth 59.56 million dollars, of which 98.3% is ETH, making them a definite 'big holder' of ETH! The wallet still has 1 million USDC and some scattered small tokens left, presumably kept for emergencies.
It's important to note that the hacker's sudden large-scale purchase of ETH surely isn't so simple.
