ATTENTION: Trump Administration confirms that the US may sanction Moraes!📝📑📈😎
The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, confirmed that Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) may be targeted by US sanctions. The information was disclosed by Donald Trump's chief diplomat this Wednesday (5/21). The sanctions may include economic issues, such as asset and account freezes.
During a hearing in the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Rubio was asked if the US government plans to sanction the Brazilian minister, who has been accused by the Brazilian right of promoting censorship and repression.
There would be cases linked to Moraes that would affect not only Brazil and opposition politicians, such as former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), but also citizens on US soil.
“This is under review at the moment, and there is a strong possibility that this will happen,” Rubio said while confirming to Congressman Cory Mills of the Republican Party that Moraes could be targeted under the Magnitsky Act. #BTC #ETH #TRUMP
