NFT artist Masato Alexander claimed that during the Allegra hard fork in 2021, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson used the genesis keys to control 318 million ADA, which later turned out to be part of a total amount of $600 million.
Hoskinson denied the allegations, calling them false. He emphasized that "most of this ADA was purchased by holders," and the remainder was transferred to the Intersect community.
In response to the pressure, he promised to publish an audit and stated that he is "deeply hurt" that the community believed the unsubstantiated accusations.
